Funky Map is a shared global canvas for sound. We built this platform so people around the world can explore places through authentic audio and share their own local soundscapes. To keep this environment safe, welcoming, and high quality for everyone, we require all users to follow these Community Guidelines. By using our platform, you agree to uphold these standards.
1. UPLOAD ORIGINAL AND AUTHORIZED AUDIO
You must own the rights to the audio you plant on the map. This means the sound should be your own original field recording, your own musical composition, or audio you have explicit legal permission to share. Do not upload copyrighted music, ripped podcasts, or stolen sound bites. If we receive a valid copyright claim, your audio will be removed and your account may be suspended.
2. KEEP IT SAFE AND RESPECTFUL
Funky Map is for everyone. We strictly prohibit any content that promotes violence, discrimination, or hate speech against any race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or nationality. Harassment, bullying, and revealing private information about others are not allowed. Audio files containing graphic violence, explicit adult content, or abusive language will be immediately deleted.
3. MAINTAIN AUDIO QUALITY AND RELEVANCE
We want users to hear the real world. Please ensure your audio uploads accurately represent the location where they are planted. Do not upload pure noise intended to annoy others, extremely loud jump scares, or deceptive audio. Remember that the maximum file size for uploads is 20 Megabytes.
4. NO SPAM OR DECEPTIVE BEHAVIOR
Do not use Funky Map to spam users with advertisements, promotional audio, or repetitive content. Bot activity, fake accounts, and artificially manipulating votes to make your audio circles larger are prohibited. We want the map to grow organically based on genuine community appreciation.
5. REPORTING AND ENFORCEMENT
We rely on the community to help keep the map clean. If you hear a sound that violates these rules, use the report button to flag it. You can select reasons such as Hate Speech, Spam, Copyright, or Other. Our moderation team reviews reported spots and will take appropriate action. Violating these guidelines may result in the removal of your audio, a temporary ban, or permanent deletion of your account.
